Commonly known as “lady’s mantle,” Alchemilla ‘Thriller’ sports loose clusters of yellow-chartreuse flowers that rise above the foliage in late spring to early summer. This low-mounding perennial is easily recognized by its scalloped, gently ruffled leaves that balance on its long stems. Water droplets catch in the fine hairs of its stems and leaves, making the entire plant sparkle in the early morning sunlight.
Alchemilla ‘Thriller’ lady’s mantle prefers moist, fertile soil that is well-draining. It can tolerate clay soil and coastal conditions, and is not usually appealing to deer and rabbits. It will freely self-sow. Alchemilla ‘Thriller’ would be an excellent addition to woodland borders and low-maintenance shade gardens.
