Helianthus Microcephalus ‘Lemon Queen’ Sunflower

Helianthus microcephalus ‘Lemon Queen’ brightens any summer garden with its vivid light yellow flowers rising above the rest. This natural cross between Helianthus pauciflorus var. subrhomboideus and Helianthus tuberosus is irresistible to butterflies and makes an excellent cut flower. Though tall, it maintains a clumping habit and spreads slowly. 

Helianthus microcephalus ‘Lemon Queen’ needs full sun and average organic matter, but tolerates a wide range of soil conditions and temperature. It has a long bloom season, providing color all summer long.
