Lysimachia ‘Persian Chocolate’ Moneywort

Lysimachia congestiflora ‘Persian Chocolate’ has beautiful deep chocolate-purple, rounded leaves that are accented by loads of small bright yellow flowers starting in early summer. The low-growing, semi-evergreen foliage quickly spreads to form a dense ground cover with individual plants reaching up to 3′ across. Lysimachia ‘Persian Chocolate’ is also suitable for use in containers.

Also known as Moneywort, or Loosestrife, Lysimachia congestiflora ‘Persian Chocolate’ prefers light to full shade and moist, well-drained soil. ‘Persian Chocolate’ gets it best color when it receives little or no sun.
